Jinkx Monsoon is the fan-favorite two-time winner, queen, and drag performer of the reality tv show RuPaul's Drag Race. Born in 1987 in Portland, Oregon, Monsoon was the eldest of four and paid their way to graduate summa cum laude at Cornish College of Arts in 2010. Consecutive years followed with theater acts gaining roles in "Spring Awakening" and "RENT." By 2013, Monsoon eventually got the role of Velma Von Tussle in "Hairspray the Musical."
The step in her career announced that she would be part of the fourteen drag queens in the 5th season of RuPaul's Drag Race. With wins after wins from challenges and episodes, Monsoon eventually won 2 seasons of the show, becoming the first-ever queen to win twice. Since then, Monsoon has released 2 studio albums, "The Inevitable Album" and "The Ginger Snapped." The album's notable success includes the animated music video for "Cartoons and Vodka," following Monsoon's voiced character, Emerald, on a Steven Universe episode the same month. Jinkx has frequently collaborated with YouTube-based comedian Brandon Rogers, featuring on several series like "Blame The Hero" and even "Helluva Boss."
The Queen of All Queens will start the year with a new summer tour, Everything At Stake. Catch them perform live at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium for a fun and exciting experience this June 18. Reserve your tickets now.
