About Creedence Clearwater Revival

Creedence Clearwater Revival (commonly abbreviated to CCR), was a small band that blasted onto the world stage with hits such as Susie Q, Bad Moon Rising, I heard it through the grapevine. The band as we know it today, was formed in 1967, although members had previously played together as the Blue Velvets and the Golliwogs. Between 1967 and their acrimonious split in 1972 the band went mainstream, introducing the world to their unique sound and the genres of blues rock/country rock/swamp and southern folk rock. CCR introduced the world to their timeless sound with hit singles, ‘proud mary’ and ‘born on the bayou’. The band has been ranked as one of the 100 Greatest Artists of all time.
